Mount Saint Mary College orientation leaders greeted the new Mount freshmen with enthusiasm.

Incoming freshmen took the next big step in their academic careers at Mount Saint Mary College’s New Student Orientation 2024 on July 12 and 15.

The Class of 2028 immersed themselves in academic and student activities, and began to forge lasting bonds with their fellow Knights. Meanwhile, their families heard from Mount faculty and staff about how life on campus will be for their children, opportunities the new students will have, and more.

Robert Gervasi, Mount Saint Mary College president, addresses the new students and their families on Friday, July 12.

Students from New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and beyond are slated to begin their academic journey at the Mount in August.

The college’s Nursing program has once again proven popular among the new students, with plenty more aiming for careers in Business, Education, the Natural Sciences, English, Mathematics, Information Technology, Social Sciences, and more.

Additionally, Mount Saint Mary College’s master’s degree opportunities include options in Business, Education, and Nursing. All three programs carry specialized accreditation.

For students who couldn’t make it to the first orientation, a second New Student Orientation will be held on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. The Fall 2024 semester will begin on Monday, August 26.

Incoming Mount Saint Mary College freshmen enjoyed making friends with their classmates and learning about what to expect in their upcoming college careers.
