About 100 attendees worked together to identify – and find solutions for – problems that arise from opioid abuse in the Hudson Valley.
Carlton Hall, a former Vice President for Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), discussed the role of opioid prevention, treatment recovery, and how it affects youths.
Jo Ann Brown (NAMI Mid-Hudson), Regina T. Cieslak (Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan and Ulster), Dr. Irina Gelman (Commissioner of Health for Orange County), and Jean-Marie Niebuhr, LCSW-R (Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health) revealed assets and opportunities schools and nonprofits can use to overcome the epidemic.
