A group of therapy dogs offered a stress-relieving break on Wednesday, October 16 to Mount Saint Mary College students preparing for midterms.
According to research, spending time with, petting, or observing animals can reduce heart rate and blood pressure and lower stress.
The dogs were provided by Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause. At the college, the popular event has evolved into a tradition. This event took place at Mount's Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center, which co-sponsored the event with the Student Health and Wellness Center, Disability Services, and the Student Government Association.
