For Mount Saint Mary College students, a group of therapy dogs offered a stress-relieving break to students who were taking their finals this week on Wednesday, May 8.
According to research, spending time with, petting, or observing animals can reduce heart rate and blood pressure and lower stress.
The dogs were provided by Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause. At the college, the popular event has evolved into a tradition. This event took place at Mount's Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center, which co-sponsored the event with the counseling center.
