Non-profits and businesses are invited to join the Mount Saint Mary College Community Impact Fair on campus on Wednesday, November 6, from noon to 5 p.m.

The Community Impact Fair, spearheaded by the Mount’s Desmond Center for Community Engagement and Wellness (DCCEW), will connect students, faculty, and staff from the college with local organizations to forge meaningful, service-based partnerships.

Interested organizations can register at bit.ly/dccewimpact2024

There is no cost to participate, but space is limited. The Mount is located at 330 Powell Ave., Newburgh, N.Y.

Participating organizations can secure volunteers for upcoming events or ongoing projects; mentor students and create impactful internship opportunities; become a work-study site; and employ talented students ready to contribute.

“We believe in the power of collaboration and are excited to provide a space where our students can get involved, learn, and make a difference in the local community,” said Ashley Collazo, acting director of the Desmond Center.

Participating non-profits and businesses should come prepared with at least one opportunity to offer to students.

The Desmond Center provides wellness and educational services for underserved individuals and families, including the uninsured.
