Mount Saint Mary College is ushering in the spring season with a virtual poetry reading featuring author Wang Ping on Tuesday, April 12 at 4 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. To attend via Zoom, visit MSMC.edu/Poetryevent. The link will become live 5 to 10 minutes before the presentation begins on April 12.

Ping is an accomplished author across genres, having written novels, short story collections, and books of poetry. At the event, Ping will read from her most recent book, My Name Is Immigrant. She will also include selections from her two upcoming poetry manuscripts, The River Within Us and Love in the Absence of Light.

April is National Poetry Month, making it a fitting month for the event.

The reading is sponsored by Arts & Letters, Business, Nursing, and Social Sciences, as well as the Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center, the Mount Honors Program, the Writing Center, and the Catholic and Dominican Institute.
