Mount Saint Mary College celebrated Ash Wednesday on February 14 with Masses in the Chapel of the Most Holy Rosary and ash distribution services around campus.
Students, faculty, and staff received ashes from Fr. Gregoire Fluet, Interim President of the Mount and campus chaplain.
Ash Wednesday marks the start of the holy season of Lent for many Christians. It lasts for the 40 days leading up to Easter.
Seen here, Adam Leone of Wallingford, Conn., a senior education major at the college, takes part in the tradition.
