Mount Saint Mary College celebrated Constitution Day on Tuesday, September 17 with the interactive presentation “The U.S. Constitution and You.”
The event encouraged students to express what the Constitution means to them, while also learning about specifics of the critical document and its impact on the United States today.
Students discussed the Constitution with several knowledgeable professors:
- Michael Fox, Acting Dean of the School of Business, associate professor of Business Law, and Pre-Law Advisor, who presented “1st Amendment and 14th Amendment Incorporation”
- Jeffrey Kahana, associate professor of History, who presented “18th Century Background of US Constitution and Government
- Michael McGuire, assistant professor of History and Political Science and director of the Mount’s Honors Program, who presented “Constitution, Smartphones, and Censorship”
- and Thuy Linh Nguyen, associate professor of History, who presented “Rights and Constitutions in Other Nations: A Comparison”
