Registered Nurse Anna Grasso, a 2023 Mount Saint Mary College grad, recently earned the DAISY Award for her dedication to her profession.
Mount Saint Mary College alumna Anna Grasso ’23, a registered nurse at Adventhealth in Palm Coast, Fla., was recently honored with the DAISY Award for extraordinary nursing.
The DAISY Award is a recognition program to celebrate and recognize nurses by collecting nominations from patients, families, and co-workers.
“I’m always grateful that I get to make such an everlasting impact on my patient’s lives,” said Grasso in a LinkedIn post.
Lynette DeBellis, Nursing associate professor, chair of the School of Nursing, and Mount alumna, congratulated Grasso on her achievement: “It’s an outstanding achievement for Anna who graduated only a year ago,” she said.
Herself a DAISY Award recipient, longtime Mount professor DeBellis also received the Mount Saint Mary College SGA Teacher of the Year Award, was named to the top 20 nurses for Hudson Valley Magazine in 2021, and was the recipient of the prestigious SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, among other honors.
The Mount is committed to its mission of educating excellent healthcare professionals who will go on to lead and serve in their own communities. Working with about dozens of local hospitals and clinics, the Mount’s nationally accredited four-year nursing degree program boasts a high NCLEX-RN passage rate that consistently exceeds the state average.
