Explore the Hudson Valley
At the Heart of It All
The Hudson Valley isn't just one of the best places in the U.S. to visit, it's also an incredible place to live and learn.
The Mount's campus sits in Newburgh, NY — a historic river city at the center of the Hudson Valley with quick access to arts, history, shopping, and the great outdoors. With New York City and all of it's offerings just a train ride away on the nearby Metro-North train line, you've got options.
And while you don't even have to leave campus to enjoy scenic views, you can find plenty of reasons to get out and explore. The Valley offers a wealth of trails where you can hike, bike, and get close to nature. The Newburgh waterfront, packed with riverside dining options, is just blocks away. Or you can check out arts destinations, like Dia:Beacon and Storm King Art Center; catch a Renegades game at Heritage Financial Park; soak up some history at any of the area's historic sites; browse the funky shops in Beacon or go all in at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. If you've got the time, the Hudson Valley has the attractions.
