The Knight Program at Wallkill Central School District

The Knight Program allows students at Wallkill Central School District to earn college credit onsite for courses regularly offered on the Mount Saint Mary College (MSMC) campus.  MSMC faculty and administration certify GHS faculty as having appropriate qualifications and credentials to teach MSMC courses.  GHS faculty are expected to hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in the area of study, or related field, and/or be subject matter experts having taught in the respective academic area of study for more than three years.

Requirements for earning credits

MSMC will award academic credit only to students who complete the course with a “C-” average (i.e. 70%), or higher, at which point MSMC will transcribe courses and final grades on official MSMC transcripts.  The Knight Program is currently limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) credits or five (5) courses per student.
