Title: Professor of Psychology and Co-Director of the Center for Adolescent Research and Development
Years at the Mount: 41
Division: Division of Social Science
One could say that Dr. Paul Schwartz is dedicated to the Mount and its students – he’s been a professor at the college since 1977!
He is much beloved by the students, and the feeling is mutual: The students are his favorite thing about working at the college, he explains. He loves “watching the future take shape and develop in them” and is passionate about teaching them how to think.
“My passion comes from the passion and idealism the students bring to class. It’s contagious! They make me vicariously relive how I felt as an undergraduate, idealistic and passionate,” he said.
