Lynette DeBellis
Associate Professor of Nursing and Chair of the School of Nursing
Bio
Dr. DeBellis has been a nurse educator for over 30 years. A graduate of MSMC, Teachers College-Columbia University, and Nebraska Methodist College, Dr. DeBellis has taught Fundamentals, Med Surg, Nutrition, Pharmacology and Critical Care nursing. She serves on various state and national nursing committees.
Dr. DeBellis was the recipient of the MSMC SGA Teacher of the Year Award, Daisy Award, and named to the top 20 nurses for Hudson Valley Magazine in 2021. She was also the recipient of the prestigious SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Dr. DeBellis serves as President of the Mu Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, National Honor Society for Nursing. She is currently the Chair of the MSMC School of Nursing. Dr. DeBellis believes it is an honor and a blessing to be teaching at her alma mater.
