Louis Fortunato
Professor Emeritus of Accounting
Louis Fortunato retired in 2016 after almost 30 years of teaching and inspiring Mount Accounting students. His legacy was one of challenging and encouraging his students in their studies. While teaching, Lou managed his own accounting practice, being able to share this real world experience with his students. As an employer/participant in the college's Co-op Program, he was named the NYSCEEA Employer of the Year in 2002. Lou encouraged art appreciation by arranging art exhibits around campus. He has chaired the Division of Business and the Faculty Senate and in 2014 was awarded the Mount Saint Mary College Faculty Award.
