Scholarships
We recognize the importance of making a small, private education affordable, and that's why the Mount is proud to award more than $26 million in scholarships and grants each year. In fact, 100% of our traditional full-time students receive scholarships and grants from the college each year, with the average first-year award amount totaling up to $30,000.
All first-year and transfer students are automatically considered for scholarships at the time of application, unless otherwise noted. Scholarships designated as "renewable" mean that the student will be awarded the scholarship annually for up to four years, provided they remain in good academic standing and still qualify for the scholarship based on program participation, etc. Students in the 5-year BA/MSed program can carry their scholarships to the 5th year; BA/MBA 4+1 program students may qualify for an alumni discount on their fifth year.
Scholarships & Grants
Students can qualify for a combination of scholarships and grants that really add up.

Need-based Grants
We award a number of grants based on financial need to first-year students each year. The level of assistance offered depends on the amount of financial need and the availability of funds, which is why we encourage students to file the FAFSA as soon as possible. These grants can be renewable depending upon continued financial need based on each year's FAFSA and maintenance of good academic standing.
Donor Scholarships
Several friends of the Mount have created scholarships in memory of loved ones or to help students in certain programs or with financial needs. Eligibility criteria differs for each scholarship based on various factors such as the student's GPA, financial need, major, geographic location, etc. In order to apply for a donor scholarship, a student must have filed a FAFSA even if they don't qualify for aid. For application details, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at SFS@msmc.edu.
