Mount students engage in our popular athletics programs through
intercollegiate sports, intramurals, and our well-equipped
recreation center and complex.
Seventeen intercollegiate varsity teams and twenty intramural
activities encourage teamwork, discipline, social interaction, and
competition among students at Mount Saint Mary College. The
Department of Athletics and Recreation aims to cultivate personal
and physical health, enrich academic learning, and foster a sense
of community on campus.
The Elaine and William Kaplan Recreation Center is the hub of
athletics on campus. The Kaplan Center features a 1,200 seat
basketball facility, a 25-yard swimming pool, a strength and
conditioning center, an aerobics room, an athletic training room,
and offices for athletics administrators and coaches.
Use of the Kaplan Center is restricted to current students,
faculty, staff, and alumni. The hours of operation for the building
can be located here.
Mount Saint Mary College also provides a vibrant intramural
program for current students. Intramural sports include:
basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, ping pong, dodge
