Judith Saunders

Judith Saunders has published poetry, creative nonfiction, and reviews in a variety of periodicals, regional (Chronogram, Art Times, Home Planet News, Hudson River Valley Review) and national (e.g., Blue Unicorn, Soundings East, The Chiron Review, The Christian Science Monitor, Inkwell, Blueline, The Hiram Poetry Journal, and The Mathematical Intelligencer). She is the author of two prize-winning chapbook collections of poetry: Check-Out Counter Suite (Panhandler competition) and Willful Shapes and Fractious Lines (Red Berry Editions contest). Much of her literary critical writing addresses contemporary poetry: she has published essays in academic journals on the work of poets such as Elizabeth Bishop, Howard Moss, May Swenson, Gwendolyn Brooks, Billy Collins, Howard Moss, and more including a book-length study of the British poet Charles Tomlinson.
