world may/will become?
This extremely popular coming-of-age saga includes the quest for
love, progress/science gone horribly wrong, many orchestrated
realities, the importance of pretense, and questions of ultimate
power and control. For months this past year, The Hunger Games was
the most widely read book in the world. It is the first book in a
trilogy that leaves the reader horrified, numb, but still believing
in the possibilities of a world such as Panem. We are going to
discuss The Hunger Games as literature, mythology, and an expose of
our media-driven world. Please purchase the book by Scholastic,
Inc. and read at least to chapter eleven before the first
class.
