As an English or liberal arts major, you're probably tired of
defending your choice when people ask "But what kind of job will
you get?"
The truth is, what the world needs now, more than ever, are good
writers, visionaries, and strong communicators. A love of the
written word and a talent for writing are skills required in every
field, and every organization.
The Career Center will sponsor a discussion on careers for
English majors, including journalism, magazine and book publishing,
advertising, copyediting, business and technical writing, teaching,
and feature writing.
Several former English majors representing these fields will
discuss influences that affected their career choices.
Students of all majors are welcome to
attend.
