Mount Saint Mary College has named a new chair of the business
division and welcomes new administrators.
Andrew Weiss has spent most of his career building business
programs at the college level. Most recently he served as professor
of business at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio.
He has led the redesign and implementation of programs at
Monmouth College and Purdue North Central where he also established
an MBA program, and organized and led the initial stages for
accreditation through the Association of Collegiate Business
Schools and Programs.
He received a PhD in organization behavior from Northwestern
University in Evanston, Illinois.
Peter Nacy has been named director of admissions.
Nacy previously served as assistant vice president for
admissions at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. He was
director of admissions at Oakland University in Rochester,
Mich.
Nacy, a Desert Storm veteran and a lieutenant colonel in the
U.S. Army, has an MEd in education administration from East Central
University in Ada, OK.
Carlos Tonche, Jr. will serve as the college registrar.
Previously he held registrar positions at Baruch College,
Passaic County Community College, and Long Island College Hospital
School of Nursing, as well as working in admissions at New York Law
School and Seton Hall University School of Law.
Tonche earned a juris doctorate at Harvard University School of
Law.
