Newburgh, NY -
Mount Saint Mary College is already gearing up for the fall 2012
class. An Open House is planned for Sunday, September 18 from 9:30
a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 330 Powell Avenue, Newburgh.
Mount Saint Mary College currently serves around 2,700
degree-seeking students: traditional undergraduates, continuing and
transfer students, and master’s degree candidates.
Prospective freshmen and their families can learn about the
Mount’s 47 undergraduate programs which prepare students for
careers in health professions, business, education, social
services, communication/media, and more.
During Open House, counselors will provide information about
opportunities such as the college’s honors program, and robust
internships which open doors to careers in the Hudson Valley, New
York City, Capital Region and beyond.
Student ambassadors will lead tours of classrooms, updated
residence halls (including one with solar panels), new athletics
turf field, and The View dining hall (named for the campus’s
spectacular outlook over the Hudson River) in Aquinas. The college
also has an indoor pool with a view of the river and six tennis
courts with new lighting.
Some 457 freshmen move onto campus August 27 from the Northeast,
California, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.
Most incoming freshmen receive some form of financial aid, making
the Mount a very affordable choice.
