Author
Jennifer Circosta will present a reading from her latest book “The
Many Tails of Luck-Schmee,” September 29 at 4 p.m. in Curtin
Memorial Library, Mount Saint Mary College, 330 Powell Avenue,
Newburgh. The illustrated children’s book chronicles the antics of
the author’s cat.
The free public event -- The Beauty of Words: A Writer’s Journey
-- includes a book signing and is part of Mount Saint Mary
College’s Creativity Initiative which seeks to encourage creativity
across disciplines. Circosta’s story of becoming a writer will be
of interest to education and other students, teachers, aspiring
writers and anyone drawn to the beauty of words.
A Campbell Hall resident, Circosta graduated from the Mount in
2009 with a psychology degree. She is the recipient of an Editor’s
Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry for her poem,
“The Pondering Maiden.” She has been published by the National
Library of Poetry, Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum, the Poetry Guild and
in Miracles magazine.
The Beauty of Words: A Writer’s Journey is co-sponsored by the
Mount’s arts and letters, and education programs, and Curtin
Memorial Library. Light refreshments will be served.
