All communications between students and counselors are held in
confidence and will not be revealed to anyone unless a student
gives written authorization to release the information. A copy of
the release form is available from the Counseling Center.
There are legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality which
require that a counselor take responsible action. Your counselor
will review these exceptions when you meet with him/her.
Counseling files are not part of your educational records and no
one has access to them except the staff members of the Counseling
Center.
