Join fellow Mount alumni, students, and faculty as we march in
the 252nd New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March
16, 2013.
Alfred E. Smith IV, CEO of AE Smith Associates and
great-grandson of the legendary Al Smith, four-time governor of New
York and the 1928 Democratic U.S. presidential nominee, will serve
as this year’s grand marshal.
We will be marching with Sr. Peggy Murphy, MSMC professor of
religious studies, and the Orange County Irish Heritage
Foundation.
In keeping with the Irish Heritage Festival of Orange County
tradition, they have asked us to please wear the following parade
attire: black dress pants, off-white top (sweater, turtleneck,
button up shirt – layers are fine), and black dress shoes or all
black sneakers. No white or multi-color sneakers, festive parade
attire or strollers please.
We will provide you with a green Mount Saint Mary College parade
sash.
Seating on the bus from MSMC is limited, and on a first-come,
first-served basis. Limit 5 bus seat reservations per family.
