Naming opportunities
Named gifts bear in perpetuity the name of the donor or of
someone who is to be honored or remembered. Leadership gifts to the
Annual Fund, scholarships, endowments, campus buildings, classrooms
and laboratories, and academic or enrichment programs are examples
of the many kinds of named gifts that have important and historic
roles in the life of Mount Saint Mary College. These gifts are
enduring symbols of the link between the Mount and those who are
forever honored.
For a current listing and description of available naming
opportunities, please contact Joe Valenti, Vice President for
College Advancement, at 845-569-3215 or joseph.valenti@msmc.edu.
The Living Legacy Society: Remembering the past and planning for
future generations
Members of the Mount Saint Mary College Living Legacy Society
choose to play a role in the lives of future generations of Mount
students through the creation of a planned gift which may take the
form of a bequest in their will, an insurance policy, a charitable
remainder trust, or charitable lead trust. Mount Saint Mary College
might not receive the actual gift for many years to come.
However, by making these intentions known, members provide the
Mount with the opportunity to acknowledge their commitment now and
help to ensure that their gift will be used in accordance with
their wishes.
Please refer to Ways to Give for examples of planned
gifts, Naming Opportunities (above) for information about
recognition options, and our sample Letter of Intent for suggested
language to use to notify the Mount of your intentions.
