Hawaii at the Johnes Home

Members of Mount Saint Mary College’s Aging United club, sponsored by the Center on Aging and Policy, hosted a Hawaiian luau-style Spring Fling for the elderly residents of the Johnes Home in Newburgh, NY. The intergenerational fun included bingo and island-style snacks. Aging United’s outreach is one of several aging-related events throughout the semester. More than 50 percent of Mount Saint Mary College students volunteer through service clubs or in the field as a requirement of coursework.
