Sara Baloga
(right), a Mount Saint Mary College history/education student, won
a first place ribbon in the 36th annual Artists on the Campus Show,
Hudson River Valley scenes category, for “Winter on the
Hudson.”
Baloga’s parents exhibited the piece, as Baloga was studying
abroad in Florence, Italy.
The busy junior from Binghamton, NY, said she enjoyed learning
about the Medici family and art history while in Florence.
Mount Saint Mary College’s office of international studies can
arrange a semester or summer at a university anywhere in the world
to enrich a student’s education while pursuing a degree at the
liberal arts college in Newburgh, NY.
The Mount’s faculty-led program in Italy is run in conjunction
with CAPA International and is considered to be one of the premiere
study abroad centers in Florence. It is located on the Piazza
Galli-Tassi on the Via Pandolfini. The school is in the shadow of
the Brunelleschi Dome and steps from Santa Croce.
