An informal, informative, and slightly irreverent look at what
goes on unseen, backstage at the opera. Ron De Fesi, singer,
conductor, raconteur, and artistic director of several opera
companies over the years will give a lively depiction of the
planning, design, casting, preparation, and production of an opera.
Explanations, forbidden tales, and some video clips will illustrate
the discussion. Questions on all aspects of opera, from inception
to production, will be welcome.
