
Summer Orientation 2013
New Student Summer Orientation provides the incoming freshman
class the chance to meet other students, register for fall
classes, learn more about the campus, and to meet with faculty and
staff.
Plus, you're guaranteed to have a lot of fun! A complete
schedule of activities will be posted in the spring.
Session 1: July 8 and 9, 2013 (Registration now closed.)
Session 2: July 11 and 12, 2013
Registration now open for Session 2.
Online registration is now open for students who have paid their
deposit. Visit the Accepted Student Portal to
register.

Frequently Asked Questions about Summer
Orientation
Is Orientation required?
Yes, for all incoming freshmen. Orientation provides
opportunities to meet other students, to register for fall classes,
to learn about the campus, and to meet with faculty and staff.
What if I am a transfer student?
Transfer students do not attend Summer Orientation. You
will be invited to Opening
Weekend 2013 Information will be
sent to you over the summer.
How do I register for Summer Orientation?
You can register online starting on May 1, 2013.
Do I have to stay on-campus overnight during
Orientation?
Yes. It is an opportunity for both residents and
commuters to become familiar with our campus and their classmates.
We are unable to provide housing for families/guests.
What do I need to bring to Orientation?
Please be sure to bring sheets, a blanket, pillows,
towels, and toiletries. Other suggested items: an alarm clock,
casual clothing, and emergency medications (such as rescue
inhalers). The residence halls are air-conditioned.
Will I be able to register for classes during
Orientation?
Yes, there will be time for you to meet an advisor and
register for fall classes, provided that you have taken your placement tests.
What is the cost of Orientation?
All new students pay a $225 New Student Fee. Payment by
credit card can be made at the time of registration.
