Mount Saint Mary College’s student affiliate chapter of the
American Chemical Society received an honorable mention chapter
award from the national ACS organization for the 2010-2011 academic
year.
Student chapters are awarded special recognition on the basis of
their programs and activities, as described in their chapter
reports.
Alana DeTone, an honors chemistry major from Pelham, NY, is
campus chapter president. She lead students as they organized two
family science night programs, Girl Scout badge day, poster and
poetry contests, element bingo and other activities.
