Newburgh, NY -

Students in the Mount Saint Mary College Habitat for Humanity
club worked on a Benkard Avenue site last spring. In the past 10
years, Mount students have served on 16 Habitat projects in the
City of Newburgh, NY, plus at sites in other areas of need.
Instead of basking on the beach during spring break, 13 students
from Mount Saint Mary College’s Habitat for Humanity club will
travel to Huntsville, AL, to flex their muscles building a home for
a family in need.
But they need help to make their Collegiate Challenge project a
success.
Donations can be made payable to Mount Saint Mary College.
Please put Habitat for Humanity in the memo line and mail checks to
Debra Waller-Frederick, Director of Residence Life, Mount Saint
Mary College, 330 Powell Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.
Mount Saint Mary College, ranked a Top-Tier Regional University
(North) by U.S. News & World Report, is known for service and
more than half of its students volunteer through service clubs or
in the field as a requirement of coursework.
Students, preparing for careers in education, health
professions, business, psychology, human services, and liberal
arts, also provide assistance to Big Brothers Big Sisters, and at
schools, hospitals, and clinics in the community. For these and
other efforts, Mount Saint Mary College was named to the federal
President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
