Railroad Playhouse
South Water Street
Newburgh, NY 12550
website,
845-565-3791
The Railroad Playhouse is the new home of local arts
entertainment. Located on South Water Street in Newburgh, the
playhouse occupies the main floor of the once-abandoned brick
railroad station that has been restored by local builder Ray
Yannone. This historical building houses a grand lobby along with a
food café called Pizza Shop, a bar, and an outdoor patio.
Once attendees are inside the lobby they walk into the venue
space which will seat up to 99 people. The breathtaking high
ceilings, large classic windows and wood floors will be sure to
bring out the masses. An even more appealing aspect is the venue’s
non-fixed seating plan. This plan seats the audience and stage in
different places, designing the room around the show and making no
audience experience alike.
