Join L.I.F.E. instructors Frank Kieck and Suzanne Christensen on a
Victorian walking tour in the spirit of Henry James and Edith
Wharton. Relive the history of Washington Square along 5th Avenue
up to the Grand Rialto of 14th Street. The tour includes the
beginnings of the Ladies Mile, two tragedies of 1911 and 1912,
Manhattan’s first motion picture studio (1896), the Row, Rear
Window, the Salmagundi, the Strand, Dead Man’s Curve, an unsolved
mystery, an evil place, the accidental elopement of a President,
and the Great Bohemian celebration. Lunch on your own and board the
bus at 3 pm for the return trip.
