Segovia is in the province of Castille and Leon and is located a
short bus or train ride from the city of Madrid. It has the highest
concentration of Romanesque churches in all of Europe. The towering
Roman Aqueduct that runs through the city is a testament to the
history and culture of this beautiful European City.
UNESCO has named Segovia a world heritage site, and from every
street corner and every plaza, it's easy to see why. This
tremendously diverse and rich city can be your classroom for a
month as you live with Spanish families and experience the Mount in
Segovia.
This program is run in conjunction with The Centro Estudios De
Hispanicos with Dr. Richard D’Augusta, the founder and head of The
Centro. His course, "Contemporary Spanish Art, Politics, and
Culture," is the perfect complement to the immersive language
courses offered by our faculty at this site.
