Newburgh, NY -

Some 230 members of the Mount Saint Mary College community, in
30 teams, walked laps all evening during the recent Relay for Life,
raising more than $27,000 for the American Cancer Society.
William Kaplan (left), whose generosity of time and money over
several decades has helped construct or renovate countless public
and private buildings in and around the City of Newburgh, NY, made
a donation to Relay for Life. He is pictured with Fr. Kevin Mackin,
OFM, president of Mount Saint Mary College, and Norwalk, CT
resident Danielle Kearns, a senior English/education major. Kearns
is the local Relay chairperson and campus president of the Colleges
Against Cancer club. Peering from overhead running track,

field as a requirement of coursework.
