FAFSA workshop open to public, January
14
Mount Saint Mary College will hold a transfer student admissions
event January 5 from 4 to 7 pm in Curtin Memorial Library, on the
campus at 330 Powell Avenue, Newburgh, NY.
The event is for college-age transfer students, adults
interested in applying previously earned college credits towards a
bachelor’s degree, and adults who want to pursue a master's degree
in business, education, or nursing.
Admissions counselors will provide information about the Mount’s
47 undergraduate programs preparing students for careers in health
professions, business, education, social services,
communication/media, and more.
Graduate admissions staff will also be available to answer
questions for students wanting to pursue an advanced degree in
business, education, or nursing.
Adults can earn accelerated degrees in accounting, business,
nursing, history, human services, psychology, social sciences, and
an interdisciplinary bachelor of arts in education, with hybrid
online programs in business and nursing.
The Mount’s hybrid online program blends the best of traditional
classroom instruction with the convenience of online learning.
Adults can achieve a bachelor's degree in business and expedite the
path to an M.B.A. Registered nurses may be interested in the
Mount’s on-site and online R.N. to B.S.N. program which offers
credit for nursing experience.
Offering the most economical tuition in the Hudson Valley, the
Mount's accelerated adult degree program, provides students 24 and
over with the flexibility of evening/weekend schedules.
Academic credits and official transcripts will be evaluated.
Financial aid counselors will explain the process that makes the
Mount a very affordable choice for its 2,700 men and women.
To assist students and their families in filling out the FAFSA
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form, a free public
workshop will be held January 14 from 1 to 4 pm. Seating is limited
and registration is required, so call 1-888-YES-MSMC. Participants
do not need to be enrolled at the Mount to attend.
Mount Saint Mary College is accredited by the Middle States
Association of Colleges and Schools, plus specialized accrediting
commissions such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
(CCNE) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education (NCATE).
To facilitate the transfer of credits, Mount Saint Mary College
has special agreements with community colleges in Orange, Dutchess,
Westchester, Rockland, Sullivan, and Ulster counties, as well as
graduate schools.
