Robert
Goldwitz’ color photograph, Shawangunk Sunrise, received the Sr.
Francis Joseph Egan Best in Show Award at last year’s Artists on
the Campus Show.
Mount Saint Mary College invites artists to participate in the
37th Annual Artists on Campus Outdoor Art Show and Sale on Sunday,
May 20.
Artists on Campus will be held under the tent in conjunction
with the Newburgh Rotary’s "A Taste of Greater Newburgh," a winning
collaboration featuring great food, music, and artwork.
The show will feature original paintings, prints, drawings,
photography and sculpture. No crafts will be displayed. Artists may
enter their work in the judged and/or open categories.
In the judged category all media are eligible for the Mount
Saint Mary College Sr. Francis Joseph Egan Best in Show Award and
the Gayle Clark Fedigan Award – The Art of Food.
Ribbons will be presented for first place, second place and
honorable mention in the following media: oils/acrylics, black and
white photography, color photography, drawings and prints
(original), mixed media, water media, pastels, Hudson River Valley
Scenes (all media) and a new category, the art of food (all media).
Rocco Fuschetto of Haight Fire Equipment will once again be
donating the ribbons.
Artists may register by downloading a registration form at www.artistsoncampus.org or by calling
845-569-3337. Registrations will not be accepted after May 11.
There is a $30 fee for either the judged or open category, or
$50 for both.
