Kappa Mu Epsilon (KME) is a national honor society whose members
are recognized for their outstanding achievements in mathematics.
The honor society encourages their members to volunteer inside and
outside of the college community. The Math Club is created and
organized by students majoring in mathematics and other students
interested in mathematics.
Each semester KME and the Math Club hold contests, competitions,
luncheons and dinners with the Math faculty, and trips to local
conferences and events. KME and the Math Club have joined forces to
create the Bishop Dunn Math Club. Students from MSMC volunteer
their time at a local middle school. This gives students the
opportunity to hone both their teaching and mathematics skills when
they are teaching non-traditional math lessons to 6th-8th grade
Bishop Dunn students.
