
Overview
The accounting program provides education in the fundamentals of
accounting as necessary skills for understanding business. You’ll
learn accounting theory, cost management, budgeting, auditing,
taxation, accounting systems, and accounting as a management
tool.
Accounting at the Mount
Accounting majors are taught by faculty with real-world business
experience in Fortune 500 companies, many of whom hold doctorates,
MBAs, or CPA licenses.
Related Programs
As an accounting major, you'll be encouraged to pursue a master
of business administration (MBA). The Mount's bachelor of
science in accounting and master of business administration 5-year
program provides training in accounting and business. Credits
acquired by the time you earn your degree qualify our graduates to
sit for the licensing exam for Certificated Public Accountant in
New York State.
