Here's an overview of our campus buildings:
Sakac Hall is a recently built co-ed freshmen
residence hall with magnificent views of the campus and the Hudson
River. Each floor has a lounge area with a bathroom and study area.
Additional amenities in the building include: a movie theater room,
laundry room, computer room, vending machines, fitness room, as
well as a fully equipped kitchen.
Guzman Hall is a co-ed freshmen residence hall
with a lounge area on every floor. You'll find a movie theater
room, laundry room, computer room, vending machines, fitness room,
as well as a fully-equipped kitchen.
The newly-renovated College Courts are
spacious, townhouse-style upperclassmen residences with several
lounges in each building and at least one full kitchen. You'll find
laundry facilities, study areas, vending machines, recreation
tables, large-screen televisions, and other amenities, like the
Knight Spot.
Aquinas Hall and the Kaplan Family Mathematics, Science
and Technology Center (MST) is the Mount's main
campus building. "MST" has state-of-the-art nursing laboratories,
newly equipped science and technology classrooms and labs, and a
large glass atrium. You'll also find the dining commons, The
View, the campus store, student lounge, administrative
offices, and the 1,100-seat Aquinas Hall Theatre. There's even a
"Starbucks" style coffee and tea cafe called Jazzman's.
Hudson Hall serves as the home for the Division
of Education, Student Activities, Residence Life, Campus Ministry,
and Security and Safety. This building also houses the Student
Government Association. It has an auditorium, ten "smart"
classrooms, and an art gallery. Henry's Courtside and the Smart
Market offer hot and cold meals, snacks, fruit, vegetables, juices,
and coffee.
The Kaplan Recreation Center is home to the
Knights, and you'll see great Division III basketball, volleyball,
and swimming. There's a beautiful new all-weather athletic turf
field for soccer and lacrosse and six new tennis courts. Our
NCAA-regulation basketball court is also used for intramurals and
pick-up games. Our competition-sized pool, indoor running track,
weight training/exercise room, aerobic exercise room, and game
rooms are also available to all students. There's also a student
lounge and an annex with additional classrooms.
Whittaker Hall was the graceful carriage house
on the original estate. You'll find the Divisions of Social Science
and Philosophy and Religious Studies here.
The Villa was built in the 1840s. In
the early years of the College, this Victorian building was the
entire college: classes, residence hall, offices, and
library. Today, the Villa houses the Office of Admissions,
Graduate Admissions, Community Relations, News Services, Marketing,
International Programs, the Office of the President, and the Office
of Academic Affairs.
Bishop Dunn Memorial School is a private
elementary (K-8) school located on the south end of our campus. If
you plan on becoming a teacher, you'll appreciate the fact that
you'll have an opportunity to do fieldwork and observations at BDMS
instead of going off-campus, and you'll have the opportunity to put
your classroom education into play.
