Enjoy a new view of Mount Saint Mary College.
Never content to think small, the Mount is in the midst of an
unprecedented era of growth and change. From the $20 million
Dominican Center renovations, which are shaping this beautiful
100,000-square-foot building into a 21st century living and
learning center, to the redesigned main entrance and new ball
field, the College is alive with exciting campus enhancement
projects.
The Dominican Center
The new library in the Dominican Center will occupy the first
two floors as a premier learning environment, designed to balance
technology and community with comfort and privacy for our students.
A new dining hall is also in the works. The residence halls on the
three upper floors will be furnished with contemporary living
amenities, and are sure to provide some of the best views in the
Hudson Valley! The beautiful Chapel of the Most Holy Rosary, the
heart and soul of this magnificent building, and now of the campus,
will remain intact.
Campus enhancements
Whittaker Hall and The Villa, built around 1850 and part of the
original estate sold to Mount Saint Mary Academy in 1913, are
undergoing restorative treatments. Whittaker Hall has acquired a
new slate rooof and copper flashings, and The Villa's exterior was
painted, with the west facade restored to its original brick
finish.
The Kaplan Recreation Center lobby was renovated and outfitted
with new furniture. A new recreation field for both men’s baseball
and women’s softball was developed just south of the Dominican
Center, and includes new fencing, warning track, irrigation system,
and batting cages.
