Overview
The goal of the business major at the Mount is to provide
pre-professional training in business within the context of a
comprehensive liberal arts education. The student will be prepared
to work in careers within industry, government and the non-profit
sector or to pursue further studies at the graduate level. Many
cooperative and internship opportunities exist and students often
frame their future careers from these experiences.
Business Management and Administration at the Mount
In response to growing student and local business interests,
concentrations in such areas as finance and marketing were added. A
vibrant study abroad program is also available,
enabling students to obtain up to 6 undergraduate credits while
studying over the summer in such locations as Dublin, Ireland.

Program requirements
Students are required to obtain 27 credits in business, 21
credits in business-related fields, 39 credits in general
education, and 33 credits in liberal arts electives. For
concentrations, students are required to obtain 18 credits of their
48 major-requirement credits within the concentration area.
