Overview

The goal of the business program at the Mount is to provide pre-professional training in business within the context of a comprehensive liberal arts education. The student will be prepared to work in careers within industry, government or the non-profit sector or to pursue further studies at the graduate level. Many cooperative and internship opportunities exist and students often frame their future careers from these experiences.

Business Management & Administration at the Mount

In response to growing student and local business interests, concentrations in such areas as finance and marketing were added. A vibrant study abroad program is also available, enabling students to obtain up to 6 undergraduate credits while studying over the summer in such locations as Dublin, Ireland.

Program requirements

Students are required to obtain 27 credits in business, 21 credits in business-related fields, 39 credits in general education, and 33 credits in liberal arts electives. For concentrations, students are required to obtain 18 credits of their 48 major-requirement credits within the concentration area.
