Robert T. Armistead, PE - Golf Honoree

Robert ArmisteadRobert T. (Bob) Armistead is President and CEO of Armistead Mechanical, Inc., a fourth-generation mechanical contracting and engineering organization with offices in Waldwick, New Jersey, and Newburgh, New York. The company focuses almost exclusively on commercial and industrial plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and process piping, and works with many prestigious Fortune 500 companies located throughout the tri-state region.

Bob obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New Jersey and New York. After college, he served as a Naval Engineering Officer. Upon completing his service in the United States Navy, Bob returned to the family business.

An active member of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America's (MCAA) national board of directors since 2003, Bob became national president of the MCAA in 2010 and remains active in the association on both the national and local levels. At the national level, he serves on the UA International Training Fund Board of Trustees and the UA/MCAA Strategic Planning Committee. Bob is also the current board Chairman of the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation (MCERF) and is a national board member of the ACE Mentor Program of America, Inc., representing the MCAA.

Bob has served over 20 years as a management trustee on a number of benefit funds for the UA Pipe Trades throughout the states of New Jersey and New York. He also enjoys excellent relations with the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters at the national level.

In addition, Mr. Armistead is a member and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hudson Valley Construction Contractors Association of Newburgh, New York and is a board member and current Chairman of the Orange County Industrial Development Agency. He has been a very active supporter of the Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America and serves on their board. In 2009, the Boy Scouts honored Bob with the Orange County Distinguished Citizen Award.

In addition to Armistead Mechanical, Inc., the family also operates Armistead Mechanical Services, Inc. (AMI Services), an HVAC service company and Acorn Plumbing and Heating, Inc., a residential plumbing and heating company serving the Hudson Valley in New York.

Bob and his wife, Susan, have been married for 43 years. They have three sons, who are all in the family business, and seven grandchildren. All members of the Armistead family are Orange County residents.

Bogdan Paunovic, DDS - Tennis Honoree

Bogdan PaunovicBogdan Paunovic, DDS (Dr. Bo) has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years, most of them here in the Hudson Valley. He has an office at 1 Powelton Rd, Newburgh, NY, and another at 1399 Route 52, Fishkill, NY. Dr. Paunovic graduated from Columbia University, School of Dental & Oral Medicine in 1991. After graduating, he continued to work at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital treating patients privately, as well as teaching dental students on the clinic floor. Prior to starting his practice in Newburgh, Dr. Bo worked as an Associate in Mahopac and Middletown.

Dr. Bo has always been involved in the medical community. While in dental school, he worked as a medical technician in the hematology/coagulation division at North Shore University Hospital in Manhassett, NY. He is currently on the Board of the Dutchess County Dental Society. He is a member and has served as past president of the Newburgh Dental Society, and is an active member of the Ninth District Dental Society and the ADA. He also helps organize lectures and workshops to promote advanced operative techniques for fellow dentists.

Dr. Bo enjoys spreading his word of dental awareness. He visits local elementary schools and instructs children on maintaining dental health through proper nutrition and dental care. You will also see him at "Career Days" in the high schools heralding the many advantages of being a dentist.

Dr. Bo and his wife, who is also a dentist, Dr. Susan Paunovic, combine their passion for great dentistry with state of the art techniques. This formula has won them recognition among their peers as "Top Dentist" in the Best of the Hudson Valley contest held by Hudson Valley Magazine.

Dr. Bo resides in Hopewell Junction, NY with his wife of 22 years and their four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and his many dogs.
