DAY 1

8 am  - 9:30 am: Welcome and Check-in
Continental breakfast will be available for both students and families in Hudson Hall Lobby and Sakac Hall Lobby Lounge. Families can plan on departing once the student is checked-in.

10:00 am:  Welcome Address by Fr. Kevin E. Mackin, OFM, president of Mount Saint Mary College.

10:15 am - 10:30 am: Meet Your Orientation Staff

10:30 am: Break Off Into Your Orientation Groups
Icebreakers, review of the schedule, etc.

11:15 am–Noon: Lunch with Orientation groups

Noon - 2 pm: Advisement and registration by major
Aquinas Hall Theatre.

2:15 pm – 3:15 pm: Campus Services presentations

Work with your orientation group to decode clues to find helpful offices and key locations on campus. You’ll get a lot of practical information while having fun in the process.

8:45 pm- midnight:  Welcome to the “Knight Life”
Hudson Hall Lot
While getting to know your new MSMC classmates, enjoy air brush artists, live music, and many more fun activities! Enjoy snacking on carnival foods and much more!

DAY 2:

8:00 am9:15 am Continental Breakfast

8:15 am– 9:15 am:  Breakfast for students in the Honors Program

9:30 am – 10:00 am:  The 411 on Campus Life
Mount Meal Plan Options, Student Handbook/Campus Life, Residence Life Information.

10:00 am – 11:30 am: “Think Fast” Game Show

11:00 am – Noon: Information Session for Families of Incoming Freshmen

While your student is finishing up with orientation, the Offices of Financial Aid and Student Accounts will be available to discuss valuable information pertaining to the financial aid process, tuition bills, etc. Questions concerning “Mount Money” and a representative from dining services (Sodexo) will be available to answer questions concerning student meal plans. Please note, this is an optional program for families.

11:30 am, New Student Wrap-Up
Various locations determined by orientation leader.
Get your class schedule, ID card, t-shirt, complete evaluation, etc.

11:45 am: Optional Lunch for New Students
Hudson Hall Lobby.

Noon, Sakac Hall: Departure

Please return your room keys to residence life located in the Sakac Hall Lobby.Families picking up students should meet at Sakac Hall.

Congratulations! You are now officially a member of the MSMC Class of 2017!

We look forward to your move-in day on August 24, 2013! Opening Weekend information will be sent out in early August.
