Nancy Scaffidi joined Mount Saint Mary College as the associate
director of admissions in 2008. Nancy graduated from Marlboro High
School, and has a bachelor's degree from SUNY Albany and a master's
degree in communications from Marist College.
After graduating from SUNY Albany, Nancy worked as an
advertising account executive for Gannett Company at the
Journal News in Rockland County and the Poughkeepsie
Journal here in the Hudson Valley.
Nancy began her career in higher education in 2001 as an
admissions counselor for Marist College’s School of Graduate and
Continuing Education. Nancy both recruited and counseled adults who
hoped to return to college.
In 2003, Nancy was promoted to program coordinator and then
again in 2005, Nancy was promoted to assistant director of Marist’s
adult bachelor’s degree completion program, integrative studies.
During that time, Nancy also coordinated Marist College’s online
initiative, eCourses and served as an academic advisor to many of
Marist’s adult students.
While at Marist, Nancy wrote and presented a paper on Leading
Virtual Teams in San Francisco, Califoria, at the International
Communication Association Conference in 2007.
Nancy is married and currently resides with her husband in
Milton, New York.
