If you haven't yet decided what you really want to study in
college, you're not alone. In fact, 75% of all college students
change their major at least once.
What do you do if you aren't sure what you want to study? The
Mount has a program specifically designed to help you sort through
your options while you decide what it is you want to study.
You can take up to two years to decide upon a major, because
during that time you'll be gaining a foundation of knowledge and
skills you need to succeed in any field.
If you are worried that it will take you longer to complete your
education because you don't have a declared major when you enter
the Mount, stop worrying. Because we require freshmen of all majors
to take a well-rounded set of introductory-level liberal arts
courses, undeclared students will sample a variety of disciplines
without falling behind.
At the Mount you can evaluate the possibilities inherent in many
exciting fields by taking courses across the disciplines. You will
be assigned an advisor who will monitor your course selections and
guide you along the way until you have selected the major that's
right for you.
