Cardinal Timothy Dolan visited Mount Saint Mary College to
celebrate mass preceding a philosophy workshop of international
scholars on June 21 in the Chapel of the Holy Rosary. Pictured are

Cardinal Dolan first visited the college as an archbishop in
2009, when he was awarded an honorary degree.
Eighty five scholars attended the philosophy workshop. This
year’s “Thomas Aquinas and the Mind/Body Problem” discussions, with
topics from “Losing Your Mind, Finding Your Soul” to “Natural
Philosophy and Biology,” included presentations by Bishop Morerod
from Switzerland; Candace Vogler, PhD, University of Chicago;
William Carroll, University of Oxford (England); Fr. James Brent,
OP, and Michael Gorman, PhD, Catholic University of America; John
O'Callaghan, PhD, and Alfred Freddoso, PhD of the University of
Notre Dame; and also graduate students.
